    Digital I-Command Questions

    Hi Everyone, I have searched various forums, but cannot find an answer to this simple question....what color is the backlighting (running at night) on the I-Command digital gauges.? I am going to upgrade to them and I am trying to find a compass with a light that is the same color at night. Also, my boat is equipped with the standard E-tec gauges and harness. Will I need to replace the engine harness? I read somewhere that the trim does not work properly with the stock harness and I-Command gauges, but it can be modified with a resistor. I could not find any details on this. Does anyone know how to do this? Or will I have to buy a whole new harness?

    Any help is appreciated.

    The back light is whiteish in color. You can reverse the display as well.

    In daylight it looks bluish with a tint of green. At night it looks to be on beige side. Hope these help.

    Thanks, ShaftDilbert, that was just what I was looking for! Hey, AquamarineNJ...I tried to call your shop today to discuss these gauges. All I got was a fast busy signal. Was something wrong with the line? I'll try tomorrow or Monday. My new boat is expected to arrive next week, and changing from the basic gauges to I-Command is at the top of my list. Your knowledge and prices are good, so maybe we can do business!

    If you can rig with the correct harness, I would.
    I could not without taking out all my wires. The rig tube was full and other wires were taped to the ignition/trim harness. I just added a simple 47 ohm resistor and worked fine.
