What were the fuel tanks made of?

Don at European Marine has my injectors, and says they are nasty. He asked me a question about the fuel tank in the boat as far as what it is made of (plastic, aluminum, or fiberglass). I was not sure. Does anyone know what a 1996 Champion Fishhunter 190 would have in it as far as what the fuel tank is made of. Thanks

Most are plastic now, find the access plate for the gauge sender you can tell then. It should have a tag on it stating who made it along with capacity and test pressure.

Moeller was/is the OEM tank manufacturer. Their tanks are polyethylene.

My 96 202 fuel tank was made by inca Molded products and I was able to get some parts for it last year, I needed the gasket for the sending unit after I pulled it out to inspect the tank for any fuming issues and to check the pickup srceen due to issues I was having with ethnol.
