Build one out of 3/4 plywood like I did.

Here is the box that I had built for my 1990 Champion. I needed the extra storage plus the extension so it worked out great.

Do you have any pics on how you built it?

Where did you have this built? Is it fiberglass?

The shop in this thread that builds extensions said they have not built champion deck inserts for awhile? Any other suggestions? I would really love to start this project.

    Re: deck extension (fishinrick)

I had it build at A&R Fabrication in Parsons, KS. It is built out of aluminum. I measured the opening and gave them that and when I got it back it slid right in and I bolted it on the sides and siliconed the top so it's water proof. I put the lid shock on it and covered it myself that's why it's a different color. If I can find my measurements I will give them to you, if not I can measure the box itself and give those to you if you would want it.

That would be great! Do they need your boat or can you order it and have it sent to your house?

Mine is actually the only one they have built, so I can ask them to build another one and how much, then I can ship it to you. If you get time can you measure the opening you have just to make sure ours are close? I measured from side to side, the height of the side lockers from the floor to the top where the lid sits, and the length.
