Transducer Location

I have a 2005 Champ 196 w/ 200 Opti I am going to upgrade to a 788 Hummingbird and I need to know where to locate the shoot thru hull transducer so that I don't loose my depth reading at WOT. The setup that I currently have I loose bottom depth reading at around 50 MPH. I know that it will do it I just need help in the location. Now it is in the bilge area about a foot or so in front of the drain holes.

Why do you need bottom depth over 50 mph your eyes should be looking where you are going at those speeds.
