    2012 Champions---No Predictions?

Usually in past years---2009 and earlier. By MID-JUNE we had some indications of what Mountain Home/Murfreesboro had planned after the July week long shut down and the re start up for the next model year. Traditionally this industry does model changes after July 1.
Any new changes to our 3 models---183,202,210 happening in Flipp'in?
Perhaps deck lid for center compartment to accomodate center rod locker, ie Ranger Z-518, Z-520, Z-521.(Could care less about this) perhaps larger consoles to accomodate up to 10" electronics.(Would really like this) More friendly removeable Passenger console than current 2009 to current version.(Would like this to be similar to Phoenix)
Fiberglass Fender option on the trailer (Option for us that like the more updated look)

All I know is that the factory folk are working on the new model year changeover. No inside info...yet.

Unless our boats are being supported and selling well, I don't see PE dropping a whole lot of coin on innovations. I can only hope they are!

I agree, but the new boat market is about as strong as the housing and car market right now. Smaller less expensive boats are probably leading the way. I see the 183 being the top seller,,just a guess on my part but if $50k trucks arent selling i can see $50k bass boats either..Gas prices have everyone re-thinking the future..

    Spot on MA!

If viable I think bring back the CX line!

Make an effort (Jason Bragg) and team to include Champ owners in Stratos cash T programs.

On boat upgrades : Removable pass console, Bigger dash for plasma screen fish finders , AL carpet trim, and a rope rub rail would get my vote.

I have no interest in fiberglass fenders keep stainless dont want any Ranger stuff on mine.

The only thing that they are going to do different is make the pass console removable a little easier with 2 latches. You are spot on LEA about not going to sink alot of dough into the boats, simply because 95% of champ owners will not buy them. Only a select few of us have made the transfer. But I guess that shows who is true to their champion heritage and who is not. I was informed that if the boats do not start selling that premier is going to drop the line, I was told this 4 days ago from my rep.

Usually, I refrain from replying to these posts, but your last statement I copied above......is this a surprise to anyone? You take a brand, cut half its models including some popular ones (i.e. 198) and then market it as a different brand name and hope it sells? If the brains at PE were running this as an experiment to see what would happen, all of us on this board could have told them (most of us have in other posts) it ain't going to work. Not trying to start a badge engineering war about its the same boats w/ different badges blah, blah, blah, but IMO, and my opinion only, Champion died the day it moved to Flippin' This attempt by the team was a joke.

As far as Champion loyalty goes, I'm on my third one since 2001......haven't looked at anything else so my loyalty runs deep. Glad I bought my 198 when I did.....it will last me a looooong time.

    Re: 2012 Champions---No Predictions? (bassfinder1)

Jason Bragg---told me last fall that they were looking at possibly replicating the front deck configuration to that of the Z-521 (Z-118) with center rod storage OPTION and the small day box in front of driver console. Actually a very nice lay out. This was being looked at for the 210---current door lid was too short to do as is now. As far as trailer fenders---Optional fiberglass fenders---not std.
Also a console that will alllow for 8-10" electronics would be nice.

As a side note----Charger is coming out with a new wide body---STAY TUNED!

    Re: 2012 Champions---No Predictions? (E73bass)

I have already expressed my thoughts on the topic before so I am going to keep my 2 cents to myself. But this brand is leaving due to not selling, so everyone better enjoy the boat they have because they will not be around. With that being said I am done. Lets all get to good topics and be the strong family that we are known for.

I refuse to give up yet....But things are not looking good unless we can get FULL support from EVERYONE in the ChampioN family, plus add some serious converts!

I'm with you butch, I like the way my trailer looks. I don't like those gaudy fiberglass Ranger fenders..........never have.

Re: 2012 Champions---No Predictions? (bassin butch)

What benefit is there to the rope rub rail?

The passenger console is removable with two or three twist type threaded knobs

The dash sonar slot is large, but not large enough for a XDS 8 or 10

    What is Alabama carpet trim?

(I will be picking mine up next Saturday, so if I can get someone to post some pictures for me, I will try to answer some questions with them)

I would love to support ChampioN, but I just cannot justify the cost of a new rig when their are some damn nice used one out there.. I bought one of those nice used rigs.

Someone has to buy your used boats so you can upgrade!
