    Need help with 188

I bought my boat out of state and I'm having a little trouble getting it into my name. I am trying to register the trailer and get my new tags. I am being asked for the serial number, the dry weight of the trailer, and the total weight of the boat and trailer. As luck would have it, the tag on the trailer is faded to the point that I can't read any of the info. I know I am out of luck on the serial #, but does anyone on here have a 2004 188 with a tandem trailer that can maybe tell me what the weight shows on the ID tag on the trailer?

Is there somewhere I can go to find out the specs on the boat maybe? Weight, max hp rating... etc??

Trailer VIN number is stamped on the front, should be inside the front of the V. You can take a rubbing to the county as proof.
1000 lbs for trailer, 1,800 for the boat,500 for the motor, you're still under the weight for "titled" trailer, it just needs to be registered.
Or you can take it to a truck scale, either way they'll go for it.

Be patient, talk slow, use small words.

I think he was asking about the trailer, but you want the boat number, Butch just told you.

They will take a rubbing copy (with picture of whole thing) for both your trailer and at parks and wildlife for boat registration. They should have instructions posted on their site, happens all the time. (be sure and bring your bill of sale from out of state, along with other states registration papers)
