Need 150-200 hp for my 89 184 dcr

I am looking for a 150-200 for my boat. I got the shaft when i bought the boat and the guy wont return calls or reply to certified letters so I am just gonna bite the bullet and look for a new/used motor. I have put to much time into restoring this boat to give up on it any ideas or info on a good reliable place to get one would be greatly appreciated

This will wake that 184 up

Seriously though, check the motor for sale forum here, and others will be along with more places to check.

Theres an 85 model 220 hp yamaha in the motors section that would make your 184 run !

That boat is rated for up to a 175. Might be difficult to insure the boat with a 200.

    Not a problem, I had a 184 with a 200.

My 1992 184 is rated for a 175 as well. I wil say on a recent trip to kentucky Lake..I was told that the only diff in my Marner 175 Magnum EFI and a 200 hp model is the ECM...something about the 200 ecm just holds the injectors open longer. Not sure if its true or not but, if it works you could technically still have a 175 hanging off the back....it will just be a bit faster.
