    pin adapters for pedestal seats

Putting new seats in 97 Champion 181 and want to change to 3/4 inch pin mount. Has anybody used the 1.77 inch - 3/4 inch pin adapters from EZ Swivel and if so, do you epoxy them in or how is it done and what kind of luck have you had with it? Is it a good, strong mount? I've had bad luck with the old pedestals getting stuck in the holes.

Re: pin adapters for pedestal seats (surr92)

Lots of folks have had problems with the 1.77 (and 1.75) getting stuck. Best bet is to use a flap wheel sander to trim a tiny (TINY) bit from the inside of the base.

I take my seats out as soon as I get off the water. That seems to work, as I have not had the problem.
