Setup help needed 2000 Champion 203

Just bought a 2000 Champion 203 with a Yamaha 22 hp VMAX. Does anyone know the ideal setup for this?

    Yes...

    Replied in setup page.
26 tempest, 8" setback 3 1/2" under pad. Go be happy.

Thanks and will start looking for that prop. Right now the prop on it says 25-M and it takes off good and is fast to 64 mph but I want more speed out of it.

Then put a Phase 2 kit on it.

If you have a 225 VMax borrow a 27 tempest. I could hit the limiter with one on my 203 when I was running a 225 VMax. I don't carry a lot of stuff and seldom fill the gas tank to capacity but had good holeshot and top end with 27

One of the few times I'll ever stretch Pat's advice....

    Peace,

Fished a tourny in it today in 20-30 mph winds, the ride was great going with or against the wind. Got completely soaked going at an angle, going to have to learn how to drive this boat better I guess. A lot different than the Skeeter, has a lot more roll to it. Really like the ride with the waves though, my passenger couldn't believe we were running that fast and smooth in 3-4 footers.
