    Power supply to nav lights

I am looking at getting a bow mounted spot light that has the nav lights integrated into it but I need to know what the power supply (amps) are to the forward nav lights on my 183 Elite. The unit I am looking at required 5-7 amps to operate. It mounts in the same post hole as the nav pole does now. Pretty neat looking if you ask me and it's remote operated.

Does anyone know how much the power supply to forward nav pole is in amps? I don't have my boat info with me.

check the breaker connected to the power supply on your panel. It is probably 20 amp.

A 7 amp draw on 16 AWG wire at under 20 feet distance should be OK - I don't see any problem with your boat wiring handling that draw.
