    198vs200vs206vs210

So of the following models, what are the real differences? I am most interested in, and probably in this order.
    Ride
    fishability
    storage/layout
    speed

Big thing is I normally end up with a small to medium size tackle store out on the front deck when I am finished for the day so I am really interested in a big, more so wide, front deck.

    Thanks

Ride and fishability are probably pretty close to the same on all of them. The 206/210 have much larger ice chests in the front end, and massive front decks. I run a 206 and my son runs a 198 so I'm quite familiar with those two. To me the 198 is more fun to drive, the 206 is more fun to fish out of (just barely cause of the larger front end), but it feels heavier when running it. As to speed, the 198 properly set up will run 73+, but the avg is around 71ish. I've never had my 206 past 71 and that was on a perfect day, the avg is around 69ish.
You couldn't go wrong owning any of them.

    Re: 198vs200vs206vs210 (BILLY)

The 198 in my mind is not to big and not too small. The new 200 has a lot more storage and deeper compartments. The 198 fishes great and speed with a Merc 225 Pro XS fully loaded will run 68 to 69 loaded. You will see 72 or 73 light. I am partial to the 198. It does everything well. The 198 also shares the Champion Heritage and has its influences from the original Champion molds. The 206 is also a very nice boat. I would try to take a ride in all of them and then make your decision. I would be proud to own any of them.

Of course if you want the Cadillac then the 210 is also a very good choice. It will have all the room you could ever want and still is a pretty quick boat and has alot of storage. Ride is also awesome.

What can I say. They all are awesome....

All these hulls look the same from below, it is just a matter of whether you want a 19.6 ft boat or a 20.6 or 20.10ft boat.

    I believe that was a mis-print. The 206 is 20'6" and the 210 is 20'10". The 200 is 19'8", as is the newest 202.

    Re: 198vs200vs206vs210 (Jiggumup)

Before I bought my 206, I tested all of the boats you listed, except the 210, too bad it wasn't born at that time, or that would have been my choice. Your points of interests were basically the same as mine, except for one you really need to think about. Just how big a boy are u. I'm 6'3" about 350. The 198/200 were very nice rigs would be proud to own any one of them and they would do an excellent job but the 206 just fit right, with that said would I go to a 210 now, In a heatbeat but several factors and keeping me from that at this time, such as, my CEO,COO,CFO,HMIC....etc

    Well you get idea

Honestly though, those 4 are the best there is in their class IMO and you can't go wrong either way, Good luck with your purchase

    It does because it's still 19' 8"

    Re: 198vs200vs206vs210 (Jiggumup)

200 will have more storage and leg room, that is what I have, 198 will be faster, 206 and 210 I could n't say but I love my 200 and if I had've had the money I would have bought a 210, but I fish a lot of very big water and can run 68 honest gps in a good white cap. so I don't feel like I am missing out.

198 and 200 are same lenght but top cap is diffrent and storag is diffrent the main diccrence in the storage is the rear lockers are much much bigger on the 200 than the 198...other than that the 200 and 198 are really very close to the same rig.

210 is the updated version of the 206...the 210 had a lot of redesigns though as well had a lot of weight taken out of the front...the rep we had at the time the 210 came out said it was around 300 lbs...thats a lot out of the front of a boat....but the 210 also had a ton more creature features....nothing wrong with the 206s fished out of many of them and as far as fishing goes they fish at the top of the list as well as the 210
i had a 06 198 with 225 HPDI...top speed with me was jsut a tad over 74 thats loaded with just me in the boat full wells and gas...they woll move...the 206s were a little slower with the 225s now with a 250 on them they will run right up there with the rest.
the 210 runs very good as well maybe a few MPH more than a 206 with same motor but not much
