Did you check the oil reserve cap?

That should not be engine oil (engine oil is usually tan or blue), unless you're running some "other" brand of RED oil.

Trim system or steering system leaks would be where I would be focusing....

I only run mercury dfi. It is the trim system. Did some more looking. Seeping out and running down lower unit. Originally I thought it was coming out of top of the lower.

Raise engine up, and see if you can determine WHERE the leak is coming from (precisely). Snap a picture if possible....

Of course, I can't get it to leak in the garage. My best guess is that it is coming out of the hole closest to engine on top of the cylinder.

I cleaned up all the oil so I will check back later to investigate.
    Thanks

Probably the seals on the TILT ram.

Not the easiest replacement, but certainly doable.

A "shock rod kit" might be your best option (simpler to install, and you get the cap, seals, rod, and piston with relief valves).
