Due to all the press about skin cancer from sun over exposure I bought a :MOJAVE HAT - ZIP OFF 41NVKK

Won't get style points but getting a hat that offers a 50 SPF that covers your ears and neck just seems smart.

I have something similar. I don't care how it looks I also get a skin screening every 1-2 years

I just had a cancer mole removed. I wear a wide brim "Jed Clampit" hat when I'm fishing, plus I have long hair that covers my ears and neck. My neck hasn't seen the sun in 30 years. Sunscreen blocks uv rays, but it also blocks your body's ability to absorb vitamin D, which is the only proven cancer fighting vitamin, to my knowledge.
My Dermatologist recommends a hat like the one you have, Terry, or a wide brim hat, and a long sleeve shirt.
