Hydrogen is being fizzled out of your electrolyte mostly made of water !
make sure battery is well aerated and don't make any sparks in any confined area otherwise....boom!![]()
You should'nt had to charge them at all. When they are new they are already hot as they will ever be. Your charger should have self diagnosed and gone to float mode. As mentioned, HYDROGEN in highly explosive but acid will put your eyes out if the case exoplodes because of ignition.Keep your compartment open while on charge and keep water levelcorrect. Your charger should make a slight humming noise but I don't think the batteries should be sizzling.
Batteries are about a month old. I had them sitting in my garage and just put them in this weekend. I would think they would loos some juice in a cold garage???Thanks for all the help.
what kind of charger??? How many amps charge rate are you hitting them with??
I have not attempted to climb inside my boat yet. The charger came with the boat and I am not sure what kind it is. The old owner has it burried behind everything. I will take a look today after work..
Just curious I have a 2000 210 with a 225 Ficht. I have not ran the boat since I bought it over the winter. What kind of speed are you getting with your 210? I dont believe the guy I bought the boat from had it setup properly.
I have been over 70 mph GPS. I am currently working on set up with a new power head. I should have no problem seeing mid 70's very easily.![]()
