    210 question?

On an '08 210 is the second console removable as in you can take it in and out or is it gelled in? I have heard that they have to be gelled in but I can't find any info on them.

My 08 looks like it can be taken out,,it wasnt in when i bought boat and the dealer put in on. Seems it can be removed by loosening the screws. I think 09's had a different removal system though.

    Re: 210 question? (FEARTHETURTLE210)

All Champion models that were made when the boatline was purchased by Genmar and moved to Tn. were modular consoles and not gelled into the gunwhale. They were made to be removed via a special kit on the 2009 and newer models on the 210 and 202.
I have the p/n to make this adjustments on all pre-2009 models if interested.
    P/N's are:
    Eric,
The parts that we talked about for removable console are:

    PART# Description QTY Price
    7L113 BRCKET W/THREAD 5 $3.86
    7L118 BRCKET W/O THREAD 5 $2.89
    7Y221 KNOB/BOLT 5 $4.88
    7Y219 WASHER 5 $ 0.08

So the 2008 models are not included in this?

    Re: 210 question? (E73bass)

I am buying an '08 210, the console is not in but does come with the boat, the current owner has been told the console can be put in but has to be gelled in. If it can just be screwed in then I will probably buy a dual console cover and put the second console in.

If I understand you correctly I can install the second console via the hardware kit you have listed?

Yes---that circumstance is even better if console is not already installed.
order the kit on your own from Ranger/Champion and give to your dealer and have them use the kit. If the console is already installed--then I am sure you can still do it. But may have some extra cleanup to do. Gelled in is not the same as glued and screwed in.
Gelled into me means it is not a modular console--but a permanent part of the gunwhale.
All 2003 and newer Champions have modular consoles that can be removed or attached. problem is that all boats made prior to 2009 (in the 210 and 202) that
have the consoles attached already will have a big mess of glue and possibly some extra bolt holes to deal with.
If it were me and the console was already attached. I would count all the attaching
holes and if they are more than 5;get some extra of the p/n: 7L113 and 7Y221 and have some extra connecting points.
