Pat here is a large trout from Lake Ponchartrain

Weighed 6.1 on digital scale, measured 25 inches. Caught out of 24 baychamp so it belongs here in the champ forum Hopefully that crude does not mess up this wonderful ecosystem we have in SE LA. Trout are just starting to turn on before this oil mess hit. Everything seems to be about a month behind normal this year.

    Thanks Stewart...thanks a lot...

I'm stuck right now in Farmington NM, seen nothing but rocks and dirt for a week, and it'll be another week of being a desert rat before I can get home.

That's a really nice unit, those are sure fun to catch.

The tressels. The causeway has yet to turn on. It may this week, at least we hope it does

Now, you could always run out to the San Juan river and catch some Brown Trout that big or bigger. That is one bright spot in that desolate part of the country ... of course, the river water might be a bit cool yet for wading

I caught a couple of 16" rainbow trout up here yesterday and I thought I was doing good! Nice. Those are delicious.

That fish is stiff or I would not be holding her that way They have a couple of teeth, certainly nothing like those freshwater barracuda you all get up there
