    Fri night Quiz question

Since I will not be around Monday night, I am posting it tonight like I stated in a earlier post. I did not have the time to look into what I wanted to ask but with the help of someone came up with these. Again tonights prize is a large evinrude tee and hat. Must answear both questions right.

What model year Johnsons first used the SeaHorse logo?

Who came up with the Seahorse idea? Must post first and last name and what he or she did for a living.

I am getting good at these!!!

"In, 1929, the name "Sea Horse" was first used and was coined by Carl Prell, who worked for the Indiana Advertising Agency that handled the Johnson account."

Here is the link. It is on page 26. The whole article is pretty good for those interested!

The model year Seahorse was tagged to the Johnson line would have been around 1742 when the first kerosene powered computer was born....the program name was Seahorse.

The Idea of the name Seahorse belonged to (DELETED BY RUSTY63) and she is the mother of the the program we refer to as Seahorse today.

Re: Fri night Quiz question (lkhartwl)

The idea and first use of the seahorse logo was in late 1928 for the 1929 MODEL YEAR motors according to Peter Hunn's Old Outboard Book.

This is only to give another source of the model year, and not to enter the contest.

Now that's been a lot of years since I've seen one of those. I think they were given out back in the late '60's or early '70's.
