    Crack in transom.....

Hey guys.......a buddy of mine has a '91 DC Champion. He has a crack that runs down
the corner on the starboard side where the gunnell angles into the transom. Did Champion
have a wood/glass wafer transom in the early '90's?? Can I seal this crack and not have
to worry about the transom rotting out?? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

My suggestion would be take it to a good glass shop and let them evaluate it. It could very well simply be a stress crack in the gel, which was not uncommon in the area you describe. The glass shop will be able to tell.
