    Talon on an FX20-ignition wire

Hey guys, I'm in the process of installing my Talon on a 2010 FX20 and I have not figured out which wire to tie the green "deployment warning" wire into. I know that it needs to be tied into an ignition wire but I can't find a wiring diagram to identify which one to use. Can anyone help?

A purple wire is hot with the key on. You can usually find it connected to different gauges

Thank you for the help. I discovered I was testing wires with an insufficient ground and I was getting false or bad readings. On the 2010 FX it is the yellow wires running under the dash. There was a 4-way round push in style with 2 openings that I was able to easily connect to.

Not sure what yellow does, but the purple is industry standard for hot with the key on.

I believe my yellow wire was constant power from my fuse panel to my dash gauge lighting and acc. switch, etc... Though I haven't been under there in a couple seasons.

You don't want constant power, you want hot with the key on -- usually purple.

About to install a Talon. Probably a dumb question, but does the alarm wire run all the way to the dash? Nothing in the battery compartment to splice into? Running wires in my boat is like painting cedar siding. Looks easy, but takes FOREVER!

I doubt if you will find a purple key on wire back there....

Usually not an ignition wire in the bilge area.
