    Rapid Jack vs. Vance mfg.

Trying to decide which jack plate to go with on my 90 champ. The rapid jack is $100 more and am just wondering is it really worth the extra money over a vance. And if it is there a big difference between the champion cut and the standard series Rapid jack

Up front, I've never laid a hand on a vance plate, so I can't speak with history on them at all.

However I do have years of experience with the rapid jacks, and they still are the standard for any manual plate. I've never seen one fail, or really ever falter. Heaven knows I beat the daylights out of the ones I had, never had a problem. Can't say that about other plates I've run (rite hites)

Rapid Jack is a known good product, with known good people behind it. For one crispy, why take a chance?

Word of caution there is two model champ plates that they make and I don't know which will work for your boat. One is a custom plate the other a standard magnum plate works. I will say when you call them up to make sure you get the right model, if you get the lady who used to race be prepared to talk for a while. She's a great lady, but boy does she have something to say.

Again the Rapid Jack, call them up with your year and model number and be prepared to talk to the lady for some time. Rapid Jack is race proven with having custom plates for Allison, Bullet, Blazer, Triton, and even stroker. If those owners trust those plates with motors pushing 400hp, I see no reason why you would ever look another direction for rock solid performance in your everyday fisher.
