    PWC/Jet Ski

    Hello everyone.

My wife has told me that I am interested in a pwc/jet ski. I don't have much knowledge regarding PWC's. I am told I am looking for a 3-4 seater type. Can any of you offer an opinion? Thanks in advance.

Bombardier (Sea-Doo) makes a jam up pwc that has brakes and is very fast.

Its more of a reverse plate that drops down behind the jet and can be used as such. Seadoo is fast, but not very reliable in the long run. I would recommend Yamaha or Honda if you have the opportunity. There is a reason that those two are the most common at rental destinations.

Arrgg! That pwc noise haunts my dreams. Here I am out trying to enjoy some tournament fishing and these yahoo's come blazing by 50 feet away and pull loops around the boat and over the weed beds I am trying to fish. That scene has played out all too often in my area. It makes me want to put a super spook on my flippin stick and rip their little butts right off the machine! How can they not know better? By the way, pick whichever has a dealer in your area. They all break eventually. But my inlaws have had god luck with sea doo.

Re: PWC/Jet Ski (U.S. eh Champ!)

Ive actually had jet skiis and ski boats give me an advantage in tounaments a couple of times. You just gotta realize that there are some things you cant control on the water and make the best of it. When those people go over a weedbed or flat right in front of you, ive found if you go out deeper, the bait and the bass will often get pushed off the flat and hold on the edge of the first big drop into deep water. Ive had days when i cant get bit until the traffic comes out, then, look out! Oh, sorry for the hijack on your post, i dont know much about jet skiis except you better be prepared to put more gas/oil through it than your boat! Jet style marine engines are only about 60% efficient! Good Luck!
