Garmin 7600xsv system fixes on the way.

    stole from THT

Garmin 7600xsv system fixes for ducer display info plus SS175 rejection etc - The Hull Truth - Boating and Fishing Forum

should fix one of the biggest complaints...transducer identification

In the coming week Garmin will have a software upgrade that will address recent issues with the new 760xsv units.

Of the issues addressed ... is the need to identify the transducer displayed on the screen... being that these new 76000xsv units can have multiple transducers connected.

    So..
With the new software ..the end user will now have the ability to clearly determine which transducer is connected and that information will be displayed on the screen.

    Also...

Currently, a SS175 transducer is only compatible with the GSD-26 or xs series....but temporarily cannot be used with the new 7600xs units.
This is also addressed and fixed with the upcoming software.

Good deal. Downloaded it today and installed it. Never timed the download but the install took just over 5 mins. Not bad at all and excellent directions. Everything went exactly per directions. Kudos to Garmin for making improvements available.
