    Removing the Fuel Tank

I have a 2001 Champ193 and need to do some livewell work on my 193. This will require me having to remove my 47 gal. fuel tank.

Has anyone done this? Need tips on how to get it out the easiest way.

Depends on what you need to do. It would definitely be my last resort.....

I am going to be installing an Oxygenator and a KoolWell System. Need to get access to the live well and the access panel is blocked by the tank.

Re: Removing the Fuel Tank (champ193pro)

I have an 83 Champ and asked this question just last week. I assume the process is the same, new or older. It wasn't that big of a deal for mine. Drained the gas, removed the fill and vent hose. I used the hose clamps to put some rubberized material back on the tank connections so what little gas was in there did not come out and spill in the bilge. Fixed my issue and reinstalled. I did remove my batteries for safety. Like anything else, If you don't feel comfortable doing this yourself, you might consider taking to a professional.
