97 191 DCX Front Live well leaks into boat Help?

Hello, Need some help, I was washing out the front live well and noticed that the Automatic Bildge pump went off. Slow leak but leak it does. I do not belive I can get to the plumbing to see where the line is perhaps broke. Could have been put away in the past for the winter bow down I am not the original owner. How can I cure this issue? Where does the water come from thAt feeds the front well? Can I disable this as I really do not use the front well?

Thanks for the use of the board and any help will be apreciated.

    Regards,

    Mark

A 97 with a front livewell? I thought all those were gone by the early 90s. You can get to some of the plumbing through the drain in the floor just aft of the livewell. It will probably be PVC until it makes the turn aft, then I bet it's hose the rest of the way. I'd start at the junction of the livewell drains in the bilge area and possibly the checkvalve.

Could this possible be a step up cooler which has been mistaken for a livewell? If so, that would explain the auto bilge pump activating, since a cooler, or any storage compartment with a drain hole, would drain into the bilge....!

I will have to check my brochure when I get home, but I'm also pretty sure there was no front livewell in '97.

Hi! if the lid fits over the opening it is a cooler, if the lid fits flush in the carpet it is a live well. just plug it.

97 DCX...............X= extended deck. I bet he is looking at the small storage at the front seat.
