    What is this?

There is one of these on each side of the motor. The guy I bought my boat from had no idea what they were for. Are they for mounting some kind of rod holder?

It/they are lock downs for a ski pylon. Click on this link and scroll about half way down you will see the picture. http://www.bbcboards.net/zerothread/276868

Yep - they are mounts for a three legged ski pylon. Pylon post goes in the seat pedestal hole and two legs connect with pins to those mounts. Had the exact set up on my Cajun.

Thanks guys, I couldn't figure it out! After you told me what it was I looked into buying one but at $250.00 I'll just keep using the tie down bolts on the transom.

Easy I have two of those on the back of my Champion 181SX which is a fish and ski by the way. Mine do have the appropriate retainer clips in them and are not quite as obtrusive as the ones shown here. Those look like a great hangup for a piece of meat off of your foot!

Danny, do you have any pictures? I have never seen any, other than the ones shown already.

I have the pylon that goes with that setup, plus 2 custom cushions that fit over your rod boxes for extra passengers if you absolutely positively have to take the group out for waterplay instead of fishing. $75 for all if you are interested. I am in Tulsa.

    Re: What is this? (rdrakeinOK)

used one for years we pulled two tubes at a time and pulled a 220lbs male on a single ski with this no problems. It is much easyer to use the pole then the hooks on the back of the boat. the pole keeps the rope out of the prop and also out of the water so the person riding doesn't get a face full of water.
