    Water pressure and overheating alarm

Need a little help everyone. I am running a 2006 210 with a 250 proXS. I purchased 3 months ago and this weekend got a overheating constant alarm from under the console. The alarm comes on around 3800 to 4200 RPMs and will go off as I throttle down. The alarm will also turn off at 4800 to 5000 RPMs. Also sometimes the alarm doesn't come on. The stream looks good but weak at times. Not sure if the pump has ever been changed. I am pulling the Lower unit tonight and replacing the Water Pump impeller. My pressure has been at or below 15lbs. My partners 250 runs at 25 so mine seems low.

    What could be my problems??

    Thanks for the help everyone!

    Jason

I replaced the impeller yesterday, 2 of the rubber blades were running the other way. I ran it last night and it seemed to be pissing better and ran 15 to 19 lbs. I will look at the hose tonight, thanks for the tip!!!

My current boat has a pressure gauge instead of a tilt-n-trim gauge and I wouldn't have it any other way. With a fresh impeller, mine will pump over 20 psi at WFO. When it drops below 12 psi at 4K, I replace it. And that is a lot more often than one would think.
