evinrude /188 performance

on the evinrude web site under performance reports they set up a 188 with a 200 HO. the motor height is the cavatation plate is 5.75 above the bottom of the boat. on my 2007 190 with a 200HO That would put the prop shaft about 2.25 below the pad. that sounds to high for a champion. the speed on the report was 68.4. i was thinking of setting my boat up like the report what do you think.

sounds a bit high.
it really depends on how the measurement is done.

So many ways, and so many different results!

I'd try where it's at, and if not satisfied, go one way or another (most likely down) by 1/4" increments.
