    Z7 w/ 200 Pro XS 26p fury?

Has anyone ever tried a 26p Fury on a Z7 with a 200 Pro XS?

have a Z8 with a 225 with a 26P Tempest Plus and I think its to much prop, but its the one that came with the boat when we bought it. Will be looking to drop down a pitch pretty soon.

Yeah I know. I just bought mine 2010 Z7 with a 2012 200 Pro XS. Took it out last weekend for the first time and ran awesome. Has a 25 Fury now, just wondering if anyone has tried?

I run a 26 Tempest Plus, I think a 26P Fury would be too much prop.

I've tried a lot of props, but never a Fury. How many RPM's can you turn the 25P at WOT and what is your top speed? Hows the chine walk?

Fury's have a little smaller diamter than the tempest so you can turn them better than the tempests, but if you have a 26 on it already then run it and see how it goes. It might be good for the winter and then run a 25 in the summer.

I have a 175 on mine and I currently have a winter prop 25p, but I'm getting ready to put on my 24p Fury for tournaments and the summer time.

Fury's are stiffer vs a tempest. I can turn a 25p fury the same rpm as a 26p tempest.

First off I have ZERO experience but my prop guy did say thos is false. Lime said earlier since it has a smaller diameter it can turn better. This is why most say it likes to run deeper. That is because it is easier to turn. Like I said this is just what I have been told as well. ????

I run a 24 Fury and 25 Tempest, and as BMCD stated, they both run at the same RPMs. Fury has less bow lift though, the Tempest carries a load better.

I have lots of experience running a 25p Fury and a 26p Tempest. Fury was faster when light. Both about the same RPMs.

Fury's are stiffer but lighter metal is used and smaller diameter. I heard the opposite of the last part of this. I run a 25 Fury but there's no way I could run a 26 tempest. I know every setup is different. You have a 250 on a different hull so the props and performance are gonna be way different. This is just my two cents and experience with the props. But they made the fury's smaller diameter to turn easier but then gave the blades more surface area to make up for the smaller diameter. Holeshot on a 25 Fury is better than a 25 temp due to smaller diameter simply because of easier to turn a smaller diameter prop. I know WOT is different but it's the principle/physics of what's happening. But every rig is different so the best thing to do is just run it. Ask for demo props if you can. If not, ask to borrow someone's spare on here if possible. May not be.

Well, I know on my rig, the fury liked to run high.....and was fast. Mid 70's was doable with a skinny person driving instead of my fat butt.

As for stiffer....I turned less rpm with the fury for the same speed when compared to a tempest plus, and the same rpm as a bravo 1, but the fury was faster (4 blade vs 3 blade)...so yeah, I'd say it is stiffer.

You can see my results in the setups sticky post

If we can know what he is running at wot then we can better know what advice to give him on what to try and save him time on some trial and error

There is nothing to call out? How do you even call out my posts when guys with the exact rig as KRollins, and are saying the same thing as me? I am calling you out on that.

Feel free to post your results of your prop testing.

KRollins got answers from actual people running the exact rig in question, that directly answer his question. That's what this forum is about... real information.

PM sent. This is nonsense. Let's get this guy the prop he needs by working together, not competing against who's right or wrong, because no one is wrong in here. We're here to share information and help one another... that is all. Sorry we hijacked the thread KRollins and acted unprofessionally. We will stop and work together to help you out.
