    Question on padded decks.....

when a front deck on a Champ bassboat is padded from the factory (an option), is it raised more than the rest of the deck. I'm sure it is, but the reason I ask is because I've recieved some pics on a 200 Elite for sale, and just the very front part looks higher than the rod lockers & center storage locker. Do they just pad the very front section, and not the rod & stroage areas???

    Thanks!

    Jeff

the deck isnt raised up but the area where the padding is......the padding is about 2x as thick as the normal carpet so it will be a bit higher and you can see it but the deck isnt raised its jsut the extra padding your seeing

Luke, that's is what I meant, the extra padding making it seemed "raised".

Kinda strange looking to see it the first time.

yea it kinda looks out of place but its just the padding under the carpet that makes it raised

I have the extra padding on mine and yes, only the very front is padded and therefore raised. The padding goes from the very front to just past the second hole for the seat post. The rod lockers do not have the reinforced padding.
The padding is very noticable in looks and in feel. You can really tell a difference when you are standing on it and when you are not.
