Had a 1997 191SC for 5 years. It's a good fishing boat. Needs max HP to perform well. JMHO.
In '97 it was 200. Would guess it remained the same. Mine was a Merc EFI as well. You should see mid 60's. If it's been well maintained, it should make you a nice ride.
a friend of mine has a '99 191 with a 200 opti, runs upper 60's. It's a nice boat.

Brad has a 2000 191 with a 200 Yamaha. He's ran 74 and change on gps. I've been with him 73 and change. It's a screamer! The Merc 2.5 litre won't run as well on that hull though.
well, went for test ride in it tonight. its plenty fast and has a great hole shot. Turns on a dime!!! guess thats pretty typical of a Champion from what I've heard. it has an 8 or 10" slidemaster jack plate can't remember what he said and is running a 24 Tempest. I've never been in a Champion (prev. Cajun owner). Feels like it is built like a tank and has a very smooth and solid ride. colors are gun metal over white and looks good! He's got it pretty decked out too. Its got two Lowrance 520c's w/gps, a 101lb Minn Kota Maxxum Pro US, a 3 bank pro charger, pro-air system air livewell, pump out live well pumps, and hydrolic steering. Its sittin on a tandem axle trailer. I was pretty much sold on it when he pulled up it looked so good. Supposed to pick it up this week after the bank gives me some money. I'll post some pics when I get it.

In 2000, it would have come with an 8" jackplate... Sounds like the owner really took care of it and has it well equipped!!!!
