Hydro Ait wire in my 186?

I am changing out my aerator and bilge pump and I found a wire tagged Hydro Air. The only other switch I can find is one down by my right knee next to the pull cable bracket for the live well drain release valve. The toggle switch there doesn't seem to do anything. What is the Hydro Air for? Could I use that switch and wire to plumb in a pump-out system? My boat is a 95. Thanks!

The Hydro Air circulates air thru the livewell water. Some rigs have both the aerator and the Hydro Air. I use mine when water in lake is real hot, so instead of continually bringing in more hot lake water, I just put the Hydro air bubbles on to keep the water oxygenated..

I think Champ rigged all boats with the wiring so it would be easy to add the feature if you wanted it.

Someone else will have to answer the rest of your question...I have no clue what the toggle switch near your knee is for....

The switch by the livewell drain is more than likely for your hydro air. i had a 1996 186cx and that is where it was. The Minuteman Livewell Timer from BPS should fit if it needs to be replaced.
