I was thinking of upgrading the seats in my 2005 206 elite. My back is in bad shape I need to reduce as much impact to the driver as i can. The new seats look great and are supposed to be a full suspension seat, any imput would be appreciated

the new seats they have in the Eliet models are awsome wish mine had them
I don't know what the older seats were like, but the new ones are almost like riding in a La-Z-Boy chair. You really don't feel anything when riding, and they have a slight lean back to them. Very comfortable.![]()
2008 200 Elite
225 Pro XS
I would prefer less lean-back, but the seats are super comfortable...for sure!!![]()

John,
I really dig the new seats. They aren't as springy as the SRS seats found in Rangers, but the backs are high on them and that seems to help as much as anything.
A few neat features I like are:
The bottoms are separate from the rest of the seat and held in with velcro. If you tore up a seat bottom you wouldn't need to replace the entire seat, just pull out the cushion and put the new on in place with no tools.
They can be adjusted forward for shorter drivers.
Like I said, the high backs on them are really nice on the lower back.
I had a compression fracture of a lumbar vertabra in a boating incident four years ago, so I'm pretty tuned to making sure the seats are not going to bump me around too bad. These support me well an give good side support. It makes driving easier because you don't have to grip the wheel to stay upright, so your shoulders and arms don't get a workout. In other words, I can concentrate more on driving than staying in the seat like some boats.
They are not a full suspension seat though as far as I can tell. Like I said, the seat bottom is a separate cushion and not part of the seat frame. The are definately an upgrade over the CX seats though.
Thanks for the replys compression fractures are a wonderful thing they never let you forget about them do they. I have three in my t region plus some herniated discs in my neck. I refuse to give in and give up fishing. I have a great boat with good seats just looking for seats to equal the boat. How do the 200/210 ride compared to my 206
The brochure refers to the seating as "a unique self-contained suspension system" . For sure, they are comfortable!![]()
You can order Attwoods SAS seats with just the frame, foam and springs and take them to a seat shop and have them custom fit new vinyl on them. I believe the seats go for around $225 or so that way.
I've got SAS in my boat, whatever bounce the Champ hull doesn't take care of the SAS finish it off. Like driving in a car.

anyone know if these seats can be retrofitted into a 1999 203? Wishful thinking here. Already planning next winters projects.![]()
I'll check for you. The '08 203s do not have them. Not sure if they can be had for any 203, but we'll find out...
Well.. the new suspension seats are not yet ready for retro-fitting. Stay tuned...you never know....![]()
