Can someone tell me how to get the cover off of my 2007 ETec 200HO? I tried to get it off today and couldn't get it to budge. I was afraid to apply too much force and break something so I though I would ask first. I unlatched the 3 latches, one on each side and one on the rear, and tried lifting up on the cover but it wouldn't budge. Are there more latches that I am missing or something else that is holding it in place? I lifted up pretty hard but it didn't move.

pull the 3 latches ( 1 on each side and 1 on the back of motor) out then rotate them down (CCW), cover will lift off then

The rotations sort of 'clamps' them down. When you rotate them down you'll feel it release. Be aware though, those things are heavy and extremely expensive if you mess it up. Set it somewhere that it will not get hit or dinged up. There is a lot of isulation under the cowling also, so it is a snug fit.
