    2002 Mercury 250xb pro limited

Hey looking for any help that I can get. I have a 2002 2100DC Gambler with a Mercury 250xb and it has no bottom end power it will not get up on plane. It has ben in two different shops with no help the compression test is good, fuel pressure check out, and leak down as well. They have changed the stator, all fuel lines and pump, and now booth the fuel and electrical ECU's. They also changed all grounds and took the power head off and looked for any thing with no answers. Has anyone had any similar issues of this type.

Did you change anything at all? Did it all of a sudden start doing this?

They did not give the numbers just that the compression was good and nothing on the setup has changed, it has a Bobs hydro Jack plate, trim tabs, and a four blade 26p prop. It was doing well and just one day this issue started.

I agree, ask Don or ask Sherm. We have two of the best Mercury techs in the business on the BBC. I don't know where you are in Indiana, but you can't be much more than 4 hours or less from Sherm's Marine in Wabash, Indiana. 260-563-8051 He is the man when it comes to Mercury.

I had the same boat and motor. Mine did that as well. It would idle fine, but as soon as throttle was applied it would sputter and have no power. For me it was the fuel lines which were falling apart due to ethanol. I had to replace all lines, main pump, pulse pump, filter and injectors since the lining of the lines had fouled everything.

Curious. Did you just get this boat? Mind posting a pic?
