Engine knocking, milky oil... Help please!!!

Motor is a '98 Johnson Venom 200. Owned less than a month. Taken it out less than 8 times. Today was running wot for about 15 miles. When i slowed down I started to here the engine knocking. Pulled the cover to find a milky oil or grease substance had leaked out. The leak is coming from the left bottom side of the engine. New to outboards and I need some suggestions. Thanx! (Crossing my fingers).

Let me restate that. 15 nautical miles sometimes at wot. Mainly going around 55-60mph @ 5200-5400rpm. Wot on this boat is 68-70mph @ 5800-6000rpm. 25" 4 blade Renegade prop. No sound noise? Do you mean a blown engine Witch ???

When I first looked under the hood it seemed to be leaking somewhere underneath one of the bottom carb's. Just looked like it had sprayed out a few ounces from somewhere? Thanx in advance for all input!

EXACTLY...... If I had to guess, a lot of time after a ling run, especially with the motor bogged down at that rpms like yours, they will drip some out of the airboox...In the long run, it is harder on the engine to bog it down and run it like tht than it is if you have it propped to run the recomended rpms..... just a thought...

I'd still like to see a picture of where the ooze is coming from before I can make a definitive answer.
