    TXP ot 4

Any of you guys with 200 or 225 2.5 ran a txp ot 4 on your rig 19 or 20 foot. What pitch did you run. I'm trying to decide on a fishing prop and pitch. All I have ran so far is a couple trophys and I can't run them as high as I want. Any info would help, maybe I should call Greg and get his opinion.

    Re: TXP ot 4 (Fear-This)

a tro4 is fine 1-2 below the pad. But doesn't carry a load as well as a txp ot4 at 1 above. I've ran a 27 ot4 that was awesome, it was just too much pitch. The two props carry the boat different and I like the txp better.

    Hey Fella's,

Do you know how a ot4 would compare to a tro4 on a 202/250 yamaha combo? Or has anyone ran a ot4 on that combo that you know of? I asked the comparison question on an earlier post, but didn't get much feedback. I appreciate any info you can give me.

    Re: TXP ot 4 (BassinBlazer)

The TRO4 wont run as well on the 202/250 HPDI...it doesnt like to be run at the engine height neccesary with the HDPI. They run fairly well on a 202/OX66 combo because the stock lower unit likes to be run 3/4 to an inch below the pad.
    I have ran a 28p TRO4 on both combos....250 HPDI-250 OX66/202....

    Re: TXP ot 4 (JOHN202)

There are plenty of boats that will out run mine. All I have is a bone stock promax no mods at all. I just want to fish and not worry about a motor anymore. I pulled the trigger on a 24 today I ran a 27 but only turned it 6200 and it sucked out of the hole. I loved the way it carried the boat with a load in it. I'm scared the 24 won't be stiff enough but everyone I talk to says they are real tight. So we will see.

Yea i'm jus pokin fun at ya bro, always someone faster thas fo sho. The 24 should give ya more rpm's, but you may find the 25 to be better. Yes the props are stiff. That 24 is more like a 25. It may be just right for a heavy load during the summer months.

    Re: TXP ot 4 (BEEZER)

I figured that was you. But your boat looked kind of long so I thought it may not be you. Plus I think that is a differant cowling since I've seen the boat last.

    The motor sounds good.
