    2000 202 with "compromised" transom

I have found a Blazer that dealer says the transom is "compromised", meaning that it had seperated. They called Blazer who, they claim, said not to worry it would not be problem. The dealer sent it to a fiberglass pro whom has fixed the place. Anyone with experience with this?

This boat has 200hp efi, Sportmaster lower unit (which I admit that, I don't know what this means), 71 lbs thrust motor guide, Hummingbird upfront, Garmin with gps, hydraulic steering, 4 blade prop. They are asking $10,900, is this godd price or not? Thanks.

I would worry about any rig that had transom issues, even a Blazer. Offer him $8500 then move on.

I called the glass repair guy, he said he did not know how the motorhad not fallen off because the transom was full of foam from factory. He fixed it back "right" it would definitely not break or anything. Idiot me did not ask him what he used to strengthen the transom. Is it common practice for Blazer or anyone to use foam in transom?

It is not common practice for motors to fall off Blazer transoms, so what every they are doing at the factory works.

I would run from this boat, transom problems are a death sentence for a boat! It is not that good a deal anyway. It is a buyers market, keep looking.
