It all depends! 80 GPS with a 225 is very good, well actually "really good" if its stock and no mods. I installed 2 in spacers on my 2000 model Blazer with a 225 OX66 and it helped with the drive ability (right torque) but I have installed hydraulic since then. Also seemed to have better bow lift but I had just installed a TXP prop at the same time. If you are running 80 gps with that set up I wouldnt touch it. Buy the way noticed you live in Valley Grand, Al. We are practically neighbors! I am from Prattvile. Do you fish out of Swift Creek much? If so let me know and I can give you some info. on Tourneys coming up in Aug. and Oct. that are going to pay out pretty good. See ya.
I agree, 80 is a great number on that setup...if its stock.

Yes I do. We fish the Brech tourney evry year and the Central Baptist church tourney. Scott Brech does all my mechanical work on the ol Blazer. Always been good to me and service has been excellent. If you fish the Marbury tourney Good luck!!![]()
