    HELP 1995 Intruder Question

When I bought my boat the guy told me that he had it adjusted because it would not idle good in cold weather. He said they adjusted it to run rich. I have tried to get it fixed but they say there is no adjustment on the carb. I have noticed that it gets worse gas mileage than it should so I know there was something done, and also smokes too. I just need some help on what to do to fix it.

It would be in the orifices on the carbs, more than likely the HS orifices.

Get me set up with the girl in Damstripers' avatar and $30 for the jets and case of natural light long necks and I'll be there next weekend.

    High Speed Orifices CM?

There are the black intake gaskets, throttle plate standing open, carb bowls leaking and a few more air leaks I can think of.

    Champ,

That was my wife's butt about 15 years ago.

I can set you up with her. Hell, I'll give you the long necks and pay you $100 if you take her!!! Next weekend sounds good to me.

Just make sure you have somewhere else to be when she is around, otherwise all you will hear is nagging and bitching.........

You know how those test drives end up Rusty, you always have to have it if it runs just the way you want it to! lol

Re: HELP 1995 Intruder Question (Big A)

Big A, the 95' should have the adjustable jets, look at the carbs from the front, look to the left of the big opening( where the butterfly is ) about 9:00. Look in the smaller opening, ther should be either a flat head screw or an allen head screw. Do you have these? Check the red lever on the top of the vaporseperator, this is the primer solenoid, look on the lever for a crack or a leak. If it is cracked or leaking, fix it before doing anything else. Just 1 more hint, run the compression on the engine to make sure they have'nt adjusted it rich to compensate for a compession/vauum issue.

Yep, but if the ride don't fit your style you can always turn the deal down.
