i spliced mine back together put some heat shrink on it and a little silicone to make sure water didn't get in and no problems. it's been like this for 2 years now.

Didn't Work!
Bought a lowrance...not the garmin's fault the wire got broke. Just tired of the poor detail and the incompatibility with everything else in the world.
