    Alternative for a trophy plus

A little bird told me to stop by here and ask for an opinion on an alternative prop for a trophy plus.

This prop is going to be on a Triton 20xhp with a 250 merc xs.

I was told to ask here because of the succsess you alll have had in an alternate prop, with speed and it not sling blades.

    Any help is appreciated.

    thanks

That would be the Turbo TXP 4 blade. You will more than likely need a 26, as they are a little stiff in pitch. IM GE Blazer and he will give you the best price around.

Re: Alternative for a trophy plus (Rebel1)

The 28 hydromotive quad-4-X-OB in a 28 pitch will outperform a 27 trophy in every way in my experience on my 2001 202 Blazer with 2004 250 XS with 1:75 torquemaster case. The 28 trophy also works very well on my blazer and does not blowout on breakover or in rough water ; but is no faster topend than the 27 trophy . The 27 trophy blows out at breakover and will also lose bite in rough water at low speeds. The hydromotive can be run with larger vent holes for holeshot without blowout and will also lift the bow better allowing you to run higher on the jackplate. The 28 hydromotive and the 27&28 trophys hit the rev limiter on my blazer at almost identical speed(81 and change) so in pitch they are almost the same with the hydromotive having a much better holeshot , midrange and rough water bite. I got a 29 hydro off ebay to try but am waiting for iceout to try it. I feel that seeing as how the 28 hydro hit the rev limiter so easily that the 29 hydro should get me over 85 mph with a great holeshot. I have not yet tried the turbo props ,but, I think they are a great prop from what I read on here.
