Me, 25 gals gas. holeshot was 5 sec. 88.1 @ 6000 rpm with very little pos+trim.. prop shaft about at the pad.. going to level the boat and figure out that one so I know but she still was lifting so I guess I was ok.. so the boat was running pretty much level, not to sure If I want to air it out...

You got to air out that 210 or you'll never know how fast it's capable of running. It's GOT to get out of the water. Good luck.

With that gear ratio, you should be able to turn a bigger prop and easily be in the 90's.

Re: Ok 10 months later.... (RobShaw1)

I'm going to try a beer be for the next run to relax me... That 28 et is aliitle stiff in the mid range but it likes to run high and had ok lift, but not like the tempest does... dont think I could turn any bigger on that prop.. now a 27 temp run's real good and most like will go with that one but in a 28 lab finish.. as for air it out I'll get it, just got to get use to her now at these speeds..

Youre doing the right thing by taking it slowly. High performance rigs demand a lot of respect and your FULL attention at all times.

RobShaw is right! That 210 will turn around on ya so don't get too agressive with the trim. I know one has ran 92 with a hydrotec yami and that merc should be faster.

Re: Ok 10 months later.... (BEEZER)

I'm going to try a few other props, give the motor to about 10 hrs maybe it will lossen up alittle and I'll just keep learning on it.. Right now I have to keep that sport master point up high and it seems to drive the best and run the fastest that way.. I'm use to the yamaha and keeping it down around 1.5 below the pad and now I'm going above the pad to keep that point piercing the top of the water line. I know most every one says with the 210 azz down bow up high but I can say this it runs real good azz up and flat or with alittle + trim.. I was told that the pro et will hold even with the lift being alittle different when you hit the trim, just doesn't lift as much as a tempest with each bumb up, but the speed goes up for sure.. The motor only as 2.6 hrs on it right now, not going to go to crazy yet.. I will say with the right driver this boat could see above 90 with 10 gals and just him.. I can tell that already..

I don't think it will be faster than a Yamaha 300 with the HydroTec kit. It just don't have the punch.

YOur right it was punchy! Like drivein a sports car. With a 31 pitch wheel it would set me back out of the hole. that thing was fun.

Re: Ok 10 months later.... (RedBlazer)

    Its a jan 08 not a 07 anymore

"The 300xs is a stroked 3.0L motor and the extra stroke to allowed more time for fuel injection and therefore it has a broader powerband that peaks higher and makes more power over 6000" this "could" allow for a 325, 350 and maybe even 375 out of this same motor "true or not true" hum...............

    Just a thought..

That's over my head. I know some of the unlimited drag boat guys are takeing the 3.2 stroker and turning it into a 3.7 and making some unbelievable horsepower.
