I have a 2007 175 hp etec, and had a software update. the update is software version 3030378, the old was 91397. the motor used to start on the first turn of the key. now it takes 2 or 3 times and idles rough. is this the right software version. (don't have my serial number off hand)
i also notice my oil consumption seems more now.

Yes the oil consumption will be more. They increased oiling in some key rpm areas.

what about the starting problem, it always started on the first time before ? it was in the late fall months with water temps at 45 degreees
There has been some starting changes in some of the maps. Try the new map first.
