Etec no oil warning

Have a 2005 250 Etec model E250DPXSO. Today 20 miles offshore cruising at 4000 the no oil warning comes on and the motor will only run at idle. Oil tank is 3/4 full with XD50. I have never had any software upgrades since I took delivery in October of 2004. I heard on another board that there was a simple software upgrade for this. Anyone know?
I am sure it could be a billion different things, and its under warranty so I am not that concerned. I have been putting off converting to XD100 because I never felt like taking it in, I guess I should look for a positive. Thank God for TOWBOATS US.
Hopefully It will be up and running before the Sailfish show up. Thanks for any info.
