Thanks guys. I will take everything into consideration. I really don't want to go with the 210 because I fish a lot of oxbow lakes and I think an extra foot will be tougher to manuver in thick cypress trees. My dealer says that its only around $800 to $900 difference in the 250 HPDI and the 300 HPDI so I figured why not the 300. He is one of the biggest Merc dealers in the area but he says the Yamaha will out perform the Merc of the same horsepower and I have heard some bad things still about the Opti. I have been running Mercury all of my life and have never had trouble but the Opti scares me. My rig now loaded with 2 people 30+ gallons of fuel and full tackle load is running 78 gps. I am thinking of trading it in but if I sell it outright what would it be worth? 2003 202 pro-v 2005 Merc 250 EFI.
I am also considering trying to get on the team if I can. Does anyone know what the requirements are and what the discount is if any?
