Bow Roller

While looking at http://www.basscat.com I noticed the bow roller in the pic was clear vs the black like I got on my boat, is there any difference in material other than the color. I have a black boot so I don't know if this is new style or being used on white boot boats?

There is a thread about this on the BCB sight but I think it was something like this. The black ones tended to be too soft and wear out too quick. BCB went to the yellow ones but they were too hard and were damaging boats. I believe what BCB said was that this new one is softer than the yellow but more durable than the black. I might be wrong but I think that is what they said. Check the BCB board and look for the thread to verify.

I also believe that to be true. I think I will stick with the soft black roller, less chance for damage I think.

The new urethane rollers are better and softer as they are not solid. They are partitioned.
