    Off to the Lake

Today will be my first "official" day of fishing in the new P-II. It has not seen any slime yet Calling for partly sunny skies, 74 degrees and a light SW breeze. I hope they're chomping jigs today

    Maybe some pics later

Re: Off to the Lake (cougarcat22)

Very nice day to be on the water. Fishing was tough to say the least. I did manage to boat my first bass in the new rig. I flipped jigs for most of the day. I really like the trolling motor pedal being forward. It gets you right where you need to be. I rolled a couple others over and never got them out of the water. No problems at all with the boat. Everything was flawless.

Good way to break the boat in with this one!

Nice fish Gary! And...if the lake Gary went to, was closer to me...I WOULD steal that spot!! No doubt about it.

Bill knew where I was. Now that you say that I thought I saw a red Cougar sneaking in and out of the coves behind me watching with binocs. Ah just kidding Bill.

I am looking over your shoulder just a little further down the bank. I see a laydown sticking way out into the water just waiting for me to roll a spinnerbait along side it. Man I wish I could have been out on the water today. That is a nice pig to break in your boat with.

Actually, the Indiana record largemouth is 14lbs 12oz. Caught by a woman back in 1991.

At least she had a license...here in Arkansas "we don't need no stinking license" to catch state record size bass, just need one to claim the state record . And to avoid penalty under law

Nice way to break in a Cat with that bass, congrats!
