    I-Command Tach fills with water

I'm on my second I-command tach (classic with analog needle) after the first filled with water and gave up the ghost...........now the replacement has large drops inside the lens (not fog) after driving home from Texas for two days in the rain. Has anyone else experienced this? Are the full LCD models more water resistant? The cheap Faria guages on the boat have no problems with the wet stuff. Should I switch to Lowrance? Help.......

The I-command classic gauge with water is a warranty problem. Some how it lost its seal. Have your dealer order a replacement and submit for warranty.

Re: I-Command Tach fills with water (mead)

I don't think it's condensation.........there is quite a bit of water in there. Are the I-Command gauges problematic in regards to water? Is there a way to cover them to prevent rain and wash water from getting in? Thanks for your help.

Have your dealer look up parts bul. # 2006-04(p). This came out last week and has to do with your problem.

One of my tachs filled with condensation and eventually it fried the electronics of it- the alarm wouldn't stop whenever that motor was on- replaced under warranty. Now I have condensation inside my other tach.....just a matter of time before that one goes, too..

I've spoken to another boater who went through 3 sets of these things- I've even heard they were being discontinued, but I don't know about that.

    Just get replaced under warranty.....
