    cougar advange question

I seen the boat show special on the cougar. And I was just wondering what some of the top end numbers are with a 225. And some likes and dislikes if any. I want to up grade shortly. But I was thinking more on the pII until I seen the boat show special.

    Re: cougar advange question (basscat22)

The Cougar Advantage/225 would be a great rig to have. Speeds would likely be 72-74 range, depending on set up and driving skill, etc. I had a 2006CougarFTD which had pretty much the same layout as the Advantage. It was an excellent rig. The hull is different now, quicker, than the one I had.

    Re: cougar advange question (basscat22)

My Cougar with a 225 will run 74 mph with the gas tanks full the live wells full and 2 fisherman in the boat just about any day of the week . Unload the boat and run it light and its not uncommon for me to see 77mph out of it !!!!! And its an 08 FTD , the advatage elites are supposed to be a lil faster !!!!

I have a standard Opti 225 and can run low 70s loaded, 72-74 should be a conservative number.

Luke...I live just a few miles west of you, I've got a CougarFTD. Mine has a 250proxs though. You're welcome to come look at mine and or go for a ride once the weather breaks.
