    Having trouble with pedestal bushing????

I have 04 Cougar , it has the black pedestal bushing on the front deck , all the rest are the white bushings. Bought all new bushings, white ones worked out well, the black one up front, once i get it installed, the pedestal will not go in it, its like it compresses it or something, its not just a tight fit, hell it wont go, I took an old pedestal and tried to twist it in with pipe wrench, it aint going. the bushing is a good fit on the pedestal before being installed in the floor. I had to saw it to get it out, i have another that BCB sent me it looks just like the other, but they do look thicker than the original black one that was in it, anyone ran into this? need to get this fixed?????

Mine is same way, they are different size so use the same original color in each hole. Not sure why but they are different OD measurement.

If you tapped the bushing in place in steps then you slightly mushroomed the bushing. You have to drive the bushing in with a very large hammer and a soft 2x4 block in no more than three licks to prevent mushrooming.
